Advanced IV Nutritional Therapy for Optimal Health, Detoxification, and Improved Healing
Why IV Nutritional Therapy?
Intravenous (IV) therapy is a method of delivering vitamins, minerals, and amino acids directly into the bloodstream used to correct intracellular nutrient deficiencies. It is no possible to receive the high nutrient dosage IV delivers through the blood through oral intake due to absorption limitations from the digestive process and the extraordinary burden placed on individuals to take 80+ capsules daily. Patients can receive up to 10-20 times the nutrients in one IV Therapy treatment as they could get orally in one day.
The prime example of this effect is the use of Vitamin C, otherwise known as Ascorbic Acid, when trying to overcome a viral infection due to a cold, flu or stomach ailment. The antiviral effects of Vitamin C are seen when blood levels are around 10-15 mg/dL. This level is achievable with IV therapy but not orally. Oral dosage typically peaks with blood levels around 1.2-4.0 mg/dL vs. IV therapy of 50-90 mg/dL.
IV Nutritional therapies are also useful in various detoxification programs, immune stimulation or, simply, because of depletion of your bodily reserves of vitamins, minerals and chelation compounds.
Below is a short list of the unique IV therapies that are offered at Natural Dentistry:
Immune Drips: IV nutritional therapy infusions that include high dosage pharmaceutical grade Vitamin C found to be helpful for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Lyme Disease, chronic infections, Hepatitis, and Cancer. For more information on VitaminC treatments and Cancer,
Chelation Therapy: IV nutritional therapy that uses either Calcium EDTA or DiSodium EDTA to remove heavy metals, improve blood flow, and remove artery damaging chemicals from the blood vessels. Some of the health conditions that benefit from chelation therapy include hypertension, heart disease, memory decline, autism, diabetic complications, and many others.
Meyer’s Cocktail: IV vitamin and mineral therapy developed in the 1970’s by John Meyer, M.D., a physician at Johns Hopkins University. The “cocktail” is indicated for chronic fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Depression, muscle spasm,Asthma, hives, Congestive Heart Failure, Angina(chest pain), infections, and Senile Dementia.
Dr. Wright’s RMR: IV protocol developed by Jonathan Wright, M.D., that infuses high concentrations of minerals to quickly boost energy and alkalinize the body. Rapid Mineral Replacement often has immediate health benefits for those suffering from stress related disorders, exhaustion, or a general sense of depletion.
Anti-Fungal IV: Many patients suffer from the “yeast syndrome”, as described by William Crook, M.D., in his best selling book. Fungus can develop and contribute to a myriad of health problems including diabetes, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple chemical sensitivities, allergies, asthma, depression/anxiety to name a few. The ABC’S care considered to be the major triggers for this disorder—Antibiotics, Birth Control Pills, Cortisone (Prednisone), and Sugar found in the Standard American Diet(SAD). IV anti-fungal drips are used to inactivate fungus and improve immune function.
Migraine IV: For millions of Americans, migraine headaches can be disabling often leading to countless medications often replete with side effects. The Migraine IV “cocktail”utilizes concentrations of magnesium, riboflavin, and other key nutrients to relieve acute episodes of migraine and prevent future occurrences.
Hypertension IV: High blood pressure is often associated with mineral deficiencies and heavy metal burden. Intravenous nutritional therapy can rapidly lower blood pressure, and when used in conjunction with other lifestyle measures can reduce heart disease risk.
Heavy Metal Detox: IV Nutritional Therapy used to treat heavy metal exposure that may contribute to heart disease, diabetes, cancer, mental illness and other degenerative diseases. IV nutrients include calcium edta, vitamin C, etc.
Allergy/Asthma IV: IV Nutritional Therapy used for asthma, copd, pneumonia, respiratory infections and allergies. IV nutrients include vitamin C, magnesium, mucosa compositum, pyridoxine, etc.
Defense IV: IV Nutritional Therapy used for viral, bacterial and fungal infections. helpful for sinusitis, bronchitis, COPD, asthma, etc. iv nutrients including therapeutic doses of ascorbic acid, pantothenic acid, galium-heel and others.
Heart Health IV: IV Nutritional Therapy helpful for atherosclerosis, heart disease, hypertension, etc. iv nutrients including magnesium, trace minerals, cerecomp, pyridoxine, etc.
Liver Detox IV: IV Nutritional Therapy used for liver repair and detoxification. IV Glutathione, ALA, Hepar Compositum, High Dose Vitamin C.
Digestive IV: IV Nutritional Therapy used to promote gut repair associated with chronic gerd, ulcers, maldigestion and malabsorption, IBS, crohns disease and ulcerative colitis. IV nutrients including mucosa compositum, ala, riboflavin, and other nutrients.
Diabetes IV: IV Nutritional Therapy used to improve glucose metabolism, improve neuropathy, and vascular disease assoc with diabetes. IV nutrients including alpha lipoic acid, folic acid, b12, thiamin, and ubichinon compositum, etc.
Dr. Gallagher’s Cocktail: IV Nutritional Therapy used to increase energy, repair enzyme systems and promote optimum nervous system function. IV nutrients include vitamin C, glutathione, glyoxal compositum, coenzyme compositum, etc.
Vision IV: Deterioration of sight, including: Cataracts, Macular Degeneration, and Diabetic Retinopathy are one of the most common problems associated with aging. Current medical research has proven that visual decline can often be improved or reversed with anti-oxidant therapies. Special “vision drips” including anti-oxidants, fatty acids, amino acids, carotenoids, minerals, and glutathione are used individually or combined with chelation to enhance visual decline.
IV Vitamin C is the most powerful antioxidant, immune boosting and inflammation reducing molecule!
Facts about Vitamin C, otherwise known as Ascorbic Acid
Labeled Indications Use: Prevention and treatment of scurvy; acidify the urine. Also used for Vitamin C deficiency due to patients having gastric disorders, extensive injuries, surgical patients, patients affected by extreme stress and others that cannot take sufficient high doses of oral vitamins. Vitamin C requirements are also significantly increased certain diseases and conditions such as tuberculosis, hyperthyroidism, peptic ulcer, neoplastic disease, and importantly, pregnancy and lactation.
Unlabeled/Investigational Use: In large doses, to decrease the severity of viral infections such as colds and flus; dietary supplementation; a 20-year study was recently completed involving 730 individuals which indicates a potential decreased risk of death by stoke when ascorbic acid at doses >45 mg/day was administered.
