We welcome every patient to complete the New Patient Inquiry Request Form to learn more about how their private dental insurance may cover the following services at Natural Dentistry: zirconia implantsroot canal alternatives (extractions), biocompatible crowns and whether their dental insurance carrier offers out-of-network benefits.

Please fill out the New Patient Request Form to receive a call from the New Patient Concierge to answer all your questions!

Natural Dentistry + Ceramic Implants provides extraordinary biological and holistic dental services, leading the country as a destination for biological dentistry for patients across the USA. When assessing a new patient, Dr. May diagnoses and recommends treatment options solely on the basis of optimal health and biological indicators, not based on insurance coverage. At Natural Dentistry, we believe it is essential for every patient to understand the importance of choosing a dental practitioner that aligns with your health beliefs and clinical needs, regardless of insurance coverage.

Patients who do not wish to pursue health-optimizing treatment due to insurance coverage may not be the right fit for a practice dedicated to uncompromising biological health-driven dentistry or world-leading innovative healing modalities / longevity therapies.

Out-of-Network Benefits

Natural Dentistry participates as an out-of-network provider for non-Medicare and non-Medicaid plans, which means that patients have the opportunity to see Dr. May, receive services, and then independently send claims and coordinate any benefits and reimbursement directly with their insurance carriers.

No Insurance Accepted

It is very important that new patients considering seeing Dr. May, one of the leading holistic dentists in the USA, understand that Natural Dentistry is NOT an insurance-driven dental practice in terms of diagnosis, recommended treatment, and fees. Natural Dentistry does not participate with any dental insurance carriers as an in-network dentist.

Insurance Estimates

It is the patient’s responsibility to attempt to get estimates for dental work from the treatment plan received in our office. Patients are wholly responsible for the balance of the bill in our office the day services are rendered.

We do not send pre-authorizations. We do not write medical narratives. We do not send photos or explanations.

In full transparency, as an out-of-network provider, we do not provide letters of medical necessity, written narratives, or any other burdensome proof that archaic dental insurance companies tend to request ONLY for the purpose of denying the claim for the patient. Insurance and the system is built around administrative burden—hoping that patients and dental offices just give up. We support our patients but do not play insurance games.

What do we send to the primary dental carrier as an extended courtesy?

As a courtesy extended to our patients, we just send a generic super bill, also known as a F2012 dental claim form, and any standard digital xrays. We only send electonically, not by fax, not by paper. If your dental carrier has requirements that do not meet our courtesy offering, then you as the patient must send in your claims directly to them.

First Appointment

Should you choose to make a new patient appointment, please note your first new patient appointment will be 100% out of pocket and will include mandatory diagnostics!

Patient Responsibility

It is the responsibility of all new patients who are with out-of-network dental insurance to call their dental carrier/dental insurance provider and inquire whether they have out-of-network benefits that would allow Natural Dentistry to send claims as an out-of-network dental provider based on a specific plan. If your carrier is out-of-network with Natural Dentistry, you may be reimbursed directly by your carrier.

Summary

To reiterate, Natural Dentistry solely functions as an out-of-network provider. In addition, Natural Dentistry accepts all HSA/FSA (flexible or health savings account) cards and offers incredible financing options that empower patients with strong borrowing options that allow them to rebuild their entire mouth and become disease and infection free in an entirely biological and metal-free way while paying off the procedures under subsidized fixed interest rates over 6+ years (or 0% APR, no-interest short-term plans). Between out-of-network coverage, which helps cover the cost of services, and third-party financing, over 90% of our patients can afford their full treatment plans and have the opportunity to regain their health and wellness and change their lives.

Regaining an individual’s health by seeing a top dental practitioner like Dr. May is a step that one has to be prepared for since the decision represents not just a clinical one or an insurance preference but a truly life-altering one! Many of Dr. May’s patients state that getting their health back was worth every penny, and the decision has been transformative in changing the course of their happiness and life trajectories. Changing lives and healing are the driving forces behind Natural Dentistry’s treatment planning philosophy.

Making Dr. May one of the top holistic dentists in the USA

Natural Dentistry is honored to call a limited number of celebrities, both local and national, Fortune 500 executives and government officials as patients and prides itself on patient confidentiality. For high-profile individuals, we close the office to other patients and limit staff on days of procedures to protect the anonymity and ensure the confidentiality of celebrity patients. Dr. May has a following of patients from affluent areas of Connecticut, New York City, Westchester, Fairfield, Greenwich, Long Island, New Jersey and other locales where patients are seeing high-end biological dentistry and cosmetic dental services and for ensured confidentiality.

Dr. May is sought after by patients all over the U.S.A., and has patients fly across the country to see him for full arch implant reconstruction work, dental implants, amalgam removal, ozone therapy, root canal alternatives and smile design work, including California, Washington, Colorado, Arizona, Minnesota, Illinois, Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Maine, Virginia, Georgia, Montana, Kentucky just to name a few recent patient locations and of course, thousands of patients from the tri-state: New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Because of the diversity of insurances that patients have and the wait list that Dr. May has accumulated over the last year, Natural Dentistry has been forced to reduce its in-network participation, however, participates with all dental and medical insurances as an out-of-network provider. This helps cover the cost of services instead of not accepting any insurance at all.

Natural Dentistry is not an insurance-driven practice and, as of 2022, no longer accepts any dental insurance plans. Natural Dentistry is a 100% out-of-network FFS biological dentist provider. As a courtesy to our beloved patients, we can send a claim to the primary dental carrier, only electronically, as an out-of-network provider. We are NOT in-network with your insurance carrier.

Our out-of-network insurance participation helps cover the cost of services, and health savings accounts and flexible savings accounts, along with patient financing, greatly help our patients afford our premium dental services. However, as an out-of-network dentist, we will bill all services on your behalf to your carrier (only your primary carrier). Your carrier will reimburse you directly (if they don’t deny the claim, which they can do).

Part of our philosophy places our dental patients’ health above all else – which leads us to use the most premium, hard to source dental materials and equipment available on the market for biological, non-toxic, metal-free and natural results. Our practice puts in an extraordinarily high degree of effort required into all patients, spending 3.0x more time with each patient than a typical dentist or dental surgeon properly diagnose, researching alternative modalities of treatment for treatment planning and ultimately executing the perfect dentistry required to ensure the patient’s health is optimized and the dental results are worthy of admiration by patients and strangers alike.

Due to our philosophy to put health and dental material quality above all else, our practice is not dental insurance reimbursement focused; however, to accommodate patients, we do accept some (limited) insurance plans. Because we are a holistic and premium dental implant and reconstruction practice, there are some services that insurance will not reimburse for as they consider them unnecessary or “experimental”. Our office thinks of them as “cutting edge, research-based alternatives” being offered by less than 3% of the world’s top dentists, which Dr. Yuriy May falls into. Dr. Yuriy May’s priority is to deliver optimal health, wellness and beautiful dental reconstruction, irrespective of standard dental insurance coverage policies.

Each patient will receive full pricing estimates of treatment plans and the first new patient appointment. The directional estimates can be provided over the phone, and the estimates are exactly as they are stated: estimates only. They are the fees of our clinic and have no relation to insurance.

Natural Dentistry cannot control whether patients’ dental insurance will cover any dental services or a portion of dental services or not, nor can the practice control additional services that Dr. May may need to deliver during treatment based on radiographic information or observed infections during therapies or surgery.

All patients are responsible for 100% of the fees for services rendered by Dr. May that insurance does not cover. The best part is we offer patient financing that allows patients to borrow as much as $50,000 over 6+ years, which has allowed many of our patients to pursue transformative treatment, not just afford some dental work. When patients truly believe in the power of health and find the right clinician, like Dr. May, a top biological dentist in the country, anything and everything become possible.

Once every new patient is presented with a treatment plan and recommended treatment options, patients are required to leave a 50% deposit based on the cost of treatment to book their next appointment.

Natural Dentistry is a dental practice that is eligible for HSA and FSA spending accounts and also encourages all patients to maximize their HSA and FSA accounts for tax-saving benefits on healthcare in general. All eligibility and tax questions should be directed to a CPA for official determination of appropriate use of HSA and FSA funds.

Natural Dentistry can help write letters of medical need (based on treatment recommendations and findings) for hardship withdrawals from retirement plans, and patients can seek outside methods of raising funds or financing for their treatment needs.

Discounts are not available.

Financing through Lending Club may be offered based on financial hardship, the severity of the health of the patient and other circumstances that need to be discussed with our compassionate office manager. LendingClub is available with 0% financing options and other interest-bearing options that extend up to 5 years. Interest rates will depend on the individual financial health of the individual and their credit score that LendingClub and its affiliate banking partners will evaluate.

Our goal and mission is to deliver premium holistic dental care to everyone—as we believe everyone deserves the best health from honest, knowledgeable, and highlky skilled biological dentists. In order to help financially challenged patients achieve health, aesthetic, and restorative goals, Natural Dentistry is happy to discuss financing options and help patients phase treatment over months to achieve biological health-focused treatment goals. Additionally, we encourage the use of Health Care Savings (“HSA”) and Flexible Savings Accounts (“FSA”) to help save on taxes and make treatment more affordable.

Some content may discuss emerging, controversial, or non-mainstream theories or modalities. Such content is provided to describe perspectives and is not a representation that any approach is universally accepted, appropriate for you, or supported by conclusive evidence.

11) Scientific & Clinical Information is Evolving; Interpretation Differences

Medical, dental, and scientific information can be incomplete, evolving, and subject to interpretation and debate. Some Site Content may discuss emerging, controversial, or non-mainstream concepts. The presence of any discussion, citation, or reference does not mean the topic is settled science, universally accepted, or appropriate for you. Different clinicians may reasonably disagree on terminology, significance, diagnosis, causation, or best practices.

12. High-Risk Topic Modules

(These are drafted to preserve positioning while reducing categorical medical claims and reliance risk.)

12.1  Ceramic & Metal implants/biocompatibility discussions
Content discussing zirconia ceramic implants and their merits, or metal implants, titanium, sensitivities, allergies, corrosion, particles, biocompatibility, or “toxicity” is educational and may describe concerns raised by some clinicians/patients and interpretations of available evidence and published research. It is not a diagnosis, and it does not establish causation for any individual. Implant material and design selection depends on patient-specific factors (including bone volume/quality, occlusion, medical history, risk profile, and restorative plan) and must be determined through an in-person evaluation.

Individual evaluation and medical history determine whether any material is appropriate.

12.2 Root canal discussions
Content discussing root canal treatment may reflect differing perspectives and risk-benefit considerations. It does not state that root canals are universally harmful or that any particular outcome is inevitable. Decisions must be individualized based on clinical findings and patient-specific factors.

12.3 Mercury/amalgam discussions
Content discussing mercury exposure or amalgam fillings is educational. It does not state that every amalgam causes disease or that removal is appropriate for every person. Any decision to remove restorations should be individualized and performed with appropriate clinical safeguards.

12.4 Fluoride discussions
Content discussing fluoride may describe differing viewpoints, dosage/context considerations, and risk-benefit debates. It is not individualized guidance and should not be treated as universal instruction to use or avoid fluoride.

12.5 Ozone and adjunct therapies
Content discussing ozone or adjunct modalities is educational and may describe proposed mechanisms or uses in certain clinical contexts. It is not a guarantee of effectiveness and not a substitute for individualized diagnosis and treatment planning.

12.6 Biological dental surgery
Content about biological dental surgery (including debridement, PL removal, laser disinfection, bone grafting procedures, PRF/adjuncts, etc.) is not medical advice and does not guarantee outcomes. Surgical candidacy, risks, and benefits must be evaluated in person.

12.7 CSR / “cavitations” / FDOJ / jawbone infections terminology
The Site may reference terms used by different clinicians and communities (e.g., “CSR,” “cavitations,” “FDOJ,” “jawbone infection” terminology). Terminology and diagnostic frameworks vary across the broader community. This Content is educational and is not a diagnosis or a claim that any particular diagnosis applies to you. If you have concerns, you must obtain individualized evaluation, imaging as appropriate, and a clinical exam.

12.8 Energy Meridians The Site may reference “energy meridians,” energetic highways, energetic interference, EAV testing, or related integrative energetic concepts and frameworks. Such content is provided as an integrative conceptual framework and is not presented as a definitive medical diagnostic system. Meridians/energetic concepts do not replace clinical examination, imaging, lab work, or conventional diagnostics when clinically appropriate. You must not rely on these concepts to diagnose conditions or decide on treatment without an in-person evaluation.

12.9 Kinesiology/Applied Kinesiology / Muscle Testing (integrative assessment)
The Site may discuss kinesiology/applied kinesiology or muscle testing, it is described as an adjunctive approach to validate assumptions/diagnoses. Such content must not be interpreted as providing definitive diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment selection for any individual, and it is not a substitute for conventional diagnostic methods, where clinically appropriate, unless expressly supported by the patient’s individualized evaluation. Any use of kinesiology concepts—if used at all—occurs within an in-person clinical context and does not create guarantees about accuracy or outcomes.

13) Third-Party Links; No Endorsement

The Site may link to or embed third-party content. We do not control it and are not responsible for it. Links do not constitute endorsement. You understand and agree that third-party links, embeds, interviews, reposts, or references are not controlled by the Practice, do not necessarily reflect endorsement, and the Practice is not responsible for third-party content.

14) Supplements, Products/Devices, Therapies and General Mentions

Any mention of products, supplements, devices, protocols, or services is general educational information and not an individualized recommendation and does not replace evaluation by a healthcare professional. Products, Supplements, and External Claims References to supplements and modalities/therapies or their function and purpose have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not FDA-approved to treat, cure, prevent, or help any conditions.

If the Site includes any product-related statements, you agree:

15) User-submitted information; not HIPAA-protected until you become a patient

Information you submit through the Site may not be secure. Do not submit highly sensitive medical/dental information through the Site. A website inquiry is not a substitute for a clinical relationship or secure patient portal.
